Common Questions
Licensing, Process & Zero-AI FAQ
Everything authors and publishers ask before commissioning a cover.
Do you use generative AI (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Firefly) in any part of your covers?
Zero generative AI — ever. Every illustration is sketched, composed, lit, and hand-painted by Lukasz Jaskolski (with occasional custom 3D blockouts sculpted/modeled in 3ds Max or ZBrush for complex architecture or starships, just as in traditional game/film concept art). You receive a written 100% Human-Made Art warranty in your contract, can confidently check “No AI” on Amazon KDP, and retain clean copyright eligibility.
What commercial rights are included with my cover?
All custom and premade book cover packages grant exclusive worldwide commercial book cover rights across Paperback, Hardcover, Ebook, and Audiobook editions, plus unlimited use in organic social media, paid book ads, bookmarks, and author website banners. Merchandise/licensing add-ons are available on request.
What if my manuscript is still in editing and I don’t know the exact page count yet?
That is completely normal. We design the front ebook cover first so you can set up pre-orders and run cover reveals months ahead of launch. Once your manuscript editing and interior typesetting give us the exact final page count and paper choice (white vs. cream), I calculate the exact spine width and deliver your final KDP/IngramSpark print wrap PDF at no extra charge.
How far in advance should I book a custom book cover?
Booking 4 to 8 weeks ahead of your desired cover reveal or pre-order upload is ideal, though rush slots or immediate Premade Covers are available when you are on a tight release schedule.
Can you issue formal EU VAT or international business invoices?
Yes. Fading Ray is operated under license by Polish limited liability company brimhouse sp. z o.o. (Poland, EU). Every client receives a proper tax-deductible B2B/B2C commercial invoice (USD, EUR, or PLN) via bank wire / Wise / SEPA or major payment cards.
How many revisions are included?
Two thorough rounds of revisions are built into the sketch/concept stage (where major structural changes to pose, costume, or composition are fast and painless), plus minor color, lighting, and typography adjustments during the final polish stage.
